Why Selectido for Apple
Apple products are priced significantly higher in many countries than in the US. UK, Brazil, India, Mexico, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan — all carry premiums of 10–60% over US retail (factoring local VAT/GST and import margin). For many customers, the savings on a single iPhone Pro Max or MacBook Pro fully offset Selectido's booking fee plus shipping.
Apple Store US iPhones are also unlocked by default (when bought outright), meaning they work on any GSM network worldwide — no carrier lock.
What customers buy at Apple Store US
- iPhones — newest model on launch day, all storage tiers, all colors. Unlocked.
- Macs — MacBook Pro/Air, iMac, Mac mini in CTO (configure-to-order) configurations not stocked locally
- iPad — Pro / Air / mini in WiFi or cellular, all storage tiers
- Apple Watch — including bands and Hermès editions
- AirPods Pro / Max, AirTags, Apple Pencil, accessories
- AppleCare+ — bought at point of sale, generally portable to your home country
What to expect on an Apple session
Apple Store sessions are usually shorter than other stores — 30–45 minutes is typical. The specialist will walk you through the in-stock configuration, hand the phone or laptop to a Specialist (capital S — the Apple in-store role) for configuration, set up AppleCare if you want it, and pay at the register or via Apple's mobile checkout.
Some Mac configurations (especially M-series CTO builds) are not stocked in stores — only available via Apple.com → store pickup. Specialists can place an in-store order for next-day pickup if you book a follow-up session.
