Can you ship American snacks internationally?
Yes — dry snacks, candy, cookies, cereal, and shelf-stable packaged foods ship to 60+ countries. The only items we can't ship are anything requiring refrigeration or items prohibited by destination customs (some countries restrict gummies with gelatin, energy drinks, or specific supplements). For everything else: a US shopper picks it up live on video, or you order directly to our Minneapolis suite and we forward it.
How much does it cost to ship American snacks abroad?
Forwarding fee is $14.99 per outbound package + actual carrier shipping (USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL depending on destination). A typical 5–10 lb snack box to Mexico runs $35–55 total. To Brazil or the UAE: $45–75. Live shopping is $75/hr with a 15% discount for 2+ hour bookings.
Can I buy Flamin' Hot Cheetos / Hot Cheetos internationally?
Yes. Flamin' Hot Cheetos are banned or restricted in Canada, UK, Germany, and a few markets due to colorings, but we ship them as personal-import purchases to most destinations. Some destinations have per-shipment quantity limits set by customs.
Where can I buy Pop-Tarts flavors not sold in my country?
Most Pop-Tarts flavors are US-only. Frosted S'mores, Hot Fudge Sundae, Cookies & Crème, Wild Berry, Cherry, and the seasonal limited editions don't exist in Europe, Latin America, or Asia. Selectido's live shoppers grab them at Target or Walmart and ship internationally.
Do you ship Trader Joe's snacks internationally?
Yes — and it's our most popular Trader Joe's use case. TJ's doesn't ship anywhere. Their Cookie Butter, Joe-Joe's, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, Everything But The Bagel seasoning, and other cult items can only be bought in-store. We send a shopper, they walk the floor on FaceTime with you, and we ship it home.
What about American candy gift boxes / care packages?
Care packages are one of our most popular use cases. Tell us a budget ($50, $100, $200), tell us who it's for, and our shopper builds a curated American candy box with whatever's seasonal and viral. Gift wrap and a personal note included free.
Can I ship banned American snacks to my country?
We ship whatever your destination customs allows. Most countries permit small personal-use quantities of snacks even if they're not commercially imported. For items with known restrictions (Skor bars in some markets, candy with cochineal dye, etc.), we flag the risk before booking and you decide.
How long does it take for American snacks to ship internationally?
From our Minneapolis hub: 3–10 business days depending on destination + carrier. Mexico/Canada: 3–5 days (UPS). Brazil/UK/EU: 5–8 days (DHL Express). MENA: 4–7 days (FedEx). Asia: 5–10 days. Express options available.
Will my American snacks be fresh when they arrive?
Yes — we only ship items with at least 6 months remaining shelf life and we pack with care (bubble wrap for chip bags, rigid boxes for cookies). Most dry snacks like Pop-Tarts, candy bars, and cereal have 9–18 month shelf lives. Beef jerky and protein bars: 6–12 months.
Is Selectido cheaper than American snack subscription boxes like Universal Yums?
Different model. Subscription boxes send curated assortments at $20–40/month with limited selection.
