From booking your session to unboxing your delivery — exactly what to expect when you shop the US with a live video specialist.

The five-step Selectido flow

Selectido turns shopping at any US store into a one-hour live video call. You pick the store, you point at the items, your specialist does the walking. Here is the full process from start to finish.

  1. Pick a date and time. Open Selectido, choose same-day or schedule up to two weeks ahead. Tell us which US store you want to shop at — Target, Costco, Sephora, Best Buy, Walmart, Apple, an outlet mall, a boutique. Anywhere a person can drive to.
  2. Get matched with a specialist. A US-based specialist accepts your booking — typically within 30 minutes for same-day requests. If we cannot match you in time, your booking is automatically refunded in full. No support ticket needed.
  3. Join the live video call. At your scheduled time, tap to join the call from your phone or laptop. Your specialist is already at the store. You see what they see in real time — aisles, racks, shelves, sizes, colors, prices.
  4. Browse together. Approve every item. Point at things you like. Ask for size comparisons, ingredients, expiration dates. Your specialist builds a live cart with each item, qty, and price. You approve the cart before anything is paid for.
  5. Pay, ship, receive. Your specialist pays at the register with a Selectido company card. Items go to the Selectido hub, get packaged, and ship worldwide via USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL with full tracking.

How payment works

You fund a Selectido wallet up-front via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay). When your specialist builds your cart at the register, the cart total is debited from your wallet only after you tap Approve.

If the receipt comes back slightly different from the approved cart — a tax adjustment, a tagged price that rang up differently — small differences (under $20 or 10%) are auto-reconciled. Larger differences need your re-approval before the wallet is touched.

The booking fee plus the items plus shipping are the only things you pay. No subscription. No mark-up on retail prices. See pricing in detail.

How shipping works

Items purchased on your call are taken to the Selectido hub on the East Coast, consolidated, packed, and shipped to your destination country. Carriers include USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL — you can request a specific carrier when you book. Tracking numbers are emailed automatically and visible inside your order. Languages

Selectido is available in English, Spanish (Español), French (Français), and Portuguese (Português). Specialists join the call in English by default, but the app's chat panel translates messages live in both directions, so language is never a blocker. Customers in Arabic-speaking, Korean (직구), Japanese (個人輸入), and Filipino (kababayan) markets use the live-translation chat seamlessly.

Frequently asked questions

How long is a Selectido session?
Sessions are one hour by default. If you need more time, you can book a 90-minute or two-hour slot when scheduling.
Can I book Selectido for a same-day shopping trip?
Yes. Same-day bookings are available subject to specialist availability. If we cannot match you within 30 minutes, you are automatically refunded.
What if an item is out of stock at the store?
Your specialist will tell you in real time and can suggest alternatives, walk to a sister store, or skip the item. You only pay for what is actually purchased.
Can the specialist try clothes on for me?
They can hold items up against themselves on camera, show you sizing on the rack, and read tag specs. Wearing items in the fitting room varies by specialist comfort level — ask before booking if this matters to you.
What if my package gets stopped at customs?

How is Selectido different from a mail-forwarder like MyUS or Aramex Shop & Ship?
Mail forwarders give you a US warehouse address — you still have to find and order items yourself, and you cannot inspect items before purchase. Selectido does the shopping for you on a live video call so you can see items in person before they're bought. See full comparison.
