Why we don't mark up shipping.
Most US forwarders take a margin on shipping. The carrier they default to is often the one that pays them the highest commission — not the one that's best for your route. We don't take that margin. Your $14.99 service fee covers our work — receiving, inspecting, repacking, photographing, customs paperwork — and the carrier rate is pass-through. Carrier choice is yours.
That means if USPS is cheapest for your shoes to Mexico, you ship USPS. If DHL is fastest to Dubai, you ship DHL. We don't push you toward whichever pays us more, because none of them pay us at all.

How is Selectido different from MyUS or Shipito on shipping?
Most US forwarders take a margin on shipping — they default you to the carrier paying them the highest commission. We don't take that margin. Your $14.99 service fee covers receiving, inspection, repack, photos, and customs paperwork. The carrier rate is pass-through. You pick the carrier.
Do you actually offer all 5 carriers, or is it a marketing claim?
All 5, every shipment, every country we serve. USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and Aramex (MENA only). At checkout you see real-time rates from each and pick. We never quietly default you to one.
What about dimensional weight — does free repack really save 60%?
For big-light packages (jackets, pillows, lampshades, anything in oversized US store boxes), yes — sometimes more than 60%. Carriers charge based on the greater of actual weight or dimensional weight (L×W×H÷139 for most US international). When we repack a 24×24×24 box (30 lbs DIM) down to 14×10×10 (10 lbs DIM), the billable weight drops by 20 lbs. That's hundreds saved on heavy international rates.
How fast are these carriers actually?
Rough ranges: USPS 6–14 days, UPS Worldwide Saver 2–8 days, FedEx International Priority 2–7 days, DHL Express 1–5 days, Aramex 3–5 days within MENA. Actual transit varies by destination, customs hold time, and seasonal congestion. The calculator gives you the per-route estimate.
Can you handle returns from international back to the US?
For Selectido-shopped items (a live-session purchase), yes — we walk the return into the store and credit your account. For forwarder-only orders (you bought online, we just shipped), the US merchant handles the return; we can receive return shipments back at our warehouse if needed.
What's the cheapest way to ship internationally?
Depends on package weight and destination. For under 4 lbs anywhere: USPS Priority Mail International is almost always cheapest. For 4–15 lbs to Asia or MENA: DHL Express. For Europe or Canada: UPS or USPS often competitive. Run the calculator for your specific package — it sorts cheapest first.
What if my carrier doesn't ship to my country?
We coordinate. For destinations not covered by one carrier (e.g. some African or Pacific lanes), we route through a different carrier with stronger coverage there. If no major US carrier covers your country, message us — we work with regional partners on those routes.
