How collectors actually shop the drop.

The 4 moves that separate first-day pulls from "out of stock everywhere."

1

Reserve your US suite now

Don't sign up on drop day — every retailer wants a US shipping address at checkout. Suite IDs activate instantly when you sign up free.

2

Pre-load multiple carts

Costco + Target + Best Buy all stock at different times. Have 3 carts ready in 3 browser tabs. First to refresh wins inventory.

3

Set drop alerts

Most retailers restock at 8am CST. Selectido members get a push when a tracked product flips to in stock — no manual refresh needed.

4

Consolidate before forward

Let all your orders land at your Minneapolis suite. Combine into one box. One $14.99 forward instead of 5 separate international shipments.

Why Chaos Rising is the international set of the year.

Chaos Rising drops on July 10, 2026 with the most aggressive chase lineup of any English-language set since Twilight Masquerade. Three full-art Special Art Rares, two Hyper Rares, and a Mew that's already trading at 4× its $45 estimated retail in pre-sale markets.

For collectors outside the US, the math is unforgiving. The Special Art Charizard ex that retails for $180 in a single ETB pull is already listed at $540 in Brazil, $310 in Japan, and $295 in the UK — before secondary-market premiums even land.

The print run vs. the demand

The print run is reportedly the largest since Crown Zenith, but Pokemon Company International is allocating ~64% of stock to North America and the rest to APAC + EMEA combined. The math means most international retailers will receive 5–8% of the volume they'd need to meet local demand at MSRP. The gap fills with scalpers, eBay, and grey-market imports — all priced at multiples.

"International collectors who don't have a US shipping address by July 8 are functionally locked out of MSRP. The best inventory will be gone in 6–8 hours."

What we recommend

What to skip

The elite trainer box bundles at gas-station retailers (CVS, Walgreens) are being repackaged at +30% with weaker pull ratios. The "premium" $99 collections from Hasbro-adjacent retailers are mostly reprints with one promo card — not chase. Trust the dedicated TCG retailers.

Frequently asked questions

When does Pokémon TCG Chaos Rising release?

Friday, May 22, 2026 globally. The set has over 120 cards and is the fourth expansion in the Mega Evolution block. Prerelease events at participating local game stores in the US run the weekend of May 16-18, 2026 — one week before mass-market launch — and grant access to Build & Battle Boxes containing four booster packs plus a 40-card prerelease-format deck with one of four unique foil promo cards.

What products are in the Chaos Rising lineup?

Booster Display Box (36 packs of 10 cards each, ~$150 MSRP), standard Elite Trainer Box (9 packs + 65 sleeves + 40 energy + Fennekin promo, ~$55-60 MSRP), Pokémon Center Exclusive ETB (11 packs + two Fennekin promos including one with the Pokémon Center logo, online-only via pokemoncenter.com), Booster Bundle (6 packs), Build & Battle Box (4 packs + 40-card deck, available at prerelease events), Premium Collection featuring Mega Zygarde ex, and League Battle Deck featuring Mega Lucario ex.

What are the main chase cards in Chaos Rising?

Mega Greninja ex Chaos Rising is the top chase card — projected to hold $200+ in PSA 10 condition, but with a brutal pull rate of approximately 1 in every 620 packs for the Special Illustration Rare version. Other major chase cards include Mega Lucario ex SIR, Mega Gardevoir ex SIR, Mega Floette ex SIR, and Mega Zygarde ex SIR. Overall hit rate (any Double Rare or higher) is approximately 1 in 3.5 packs, which is tighter than recent Paldean-era sets.

Why is Chaos Rising so hard to get outside the US?

Three reasons. (1) Pokémon Center exclusive products (like the Pokémon Center ETB with the Pokémon Center logo promo) are sold only through pokemoncenter.com and ship only within the US. (2) US allocations from Target, Walmart, GameStop, Best Buy, and local game stores are larger than allocations sent to international Pokémon Centers and retailers. (3) When Pokémon TCG sets generate hype, US restocks typically come weeks before international restocks, and chase-card grading services (PSA, BGS, CGC) are heavily US-based. Collectors who want sealed product at MSRP or freshly-graded chase cards have a structural reason to source from the US.

What is the pre-launch resell premium on Chaos Rising?

As of May 16, 2026 (six days before launch), Booster Display Boxes are already trading at 15-25% above MSRP on secondary markets, and Prerelease Kits are holding 28-34% premiums after early sell-out waves. This is a meaningful pre-launch demand signal — most Pokémon sets don't break MSRP until launch day or after. The premium is likely to grow through launch weekend and the first three weeks before settling, with chase card singles driving the highest secondary market activity.

How can I buy Chaos Rising if I live outside the US?

Three realistic paths. (1) Wait for your country's Pokémon TCG distributor to receive allocation — typically 1-4 weeks after US launch, often without the Pokémon Center exclusive variants. (2) Pay resell premium on eBay, TCGPlayer, or local marketplaces — typically 20-50% above MSRP for sealed product near launch. (3) Use Selectido's live video shopping service — a US-based shopper goes online with you to pokemoncenter.com at the drop window (or visits Target, Walmart, GameStop, or a local game store) to buy at retail on your behalf. Selectido then forwards to your country via USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL.

Can Selectido help me hit the Pokémon Center exclusive drop?

Yes — and this is actually the cleanest use case for Selectido. The Pokémon Center exclusive ETB drops on pokemoncenter.com (US only). Selectido shoppers in the US can join you on video at the drop window, log into pokemoncenter.com on your behalf with your account or shopper account, race the queue, and check out with your pre-loaded wallet. We then receive the package at our Minneapolis hub and forward to your country. This works for any Pokémon Center exclusive — ETBs, special sets, plush, accessories.

What about Prerelease events this weekend (May 16-18)?

Local game stores across the US are running official Pokémon Chaos Rising Prerelease events the weekends of May 16-18 — one week before public launch. Entry fee is typically $25-$35 and includes a Build & Battle Box (40-card sealed deck + 4 boosters + one of four exclusive foil promos). The promos from these prerelease events are highly collectible — Mega Greninja ex prerelease promos tend to hold strong value because they have unique foil treatment unavailable elsewhere. If you book a Selectido live shopping session this weekend, a shopper can enter a prerelease event on your behalf, video-call you during pack opening, and forward both the Build & Battle Box contents and any chase pulls.

How much does the Selectido path cost for a Booster Box?

Live shopping session: $75 (1-hour booking, enough to race the Pokémon Center drop or shop multiple big-box retailers). Booster Box retail: approximately $150 MSRP. International shipping for a Booster Box (heavier, ~5 lbs packaged): typically $35-$70 depending on destination. Total to-your-door: approximately $260-$295. The $14.99 forwarding service fee is waived since you booked a $75+ session that month. Compare to eBay/secondary at $190-$230 + international shipping risk, where you might pay $230-$300 total and risk no PSA/BGS-grade authentication on chase pulls.

Which countries does Selectido ship Pokémon TCG to?

60+ countries including Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Nigeria, South Africa, the UK, and the EU. Sealed Pokémon TCG product ships cleanly via USPS Priority International, UPS Worldwide, FedEx International, or DHL Express. Most destinations receive in 5-12 business days. Customs duties on personal-import trading cards are typically calculated on declared value and are low in most countries — usually 0-10% of declared retail.
