Shipping Policy
Selectido arranges shipping from the US to your destination country. You provide a delivery address; your shopper buys the items during the live session; we hand them off to a carrier and bill the cost back to your wallet. Here's how each piece works.
1. Carriers we use
Depending on your destination, urgency, and item size, your shipment goes via one of:
- USPS Priority Mail International — usually the cheapest, 6–10 business days.
- UPS Worldwide Expedited — balanced, 4–6 business days.
- FedEx International Priority — fastest, 2–4 business days, highest cost.
- DHL Express Worldwide — alternative fast option, 2–5 business days, especially strong into Central America and the Caribbean.
Your shopper picks the carrier that best matches the tradeoff between speed and cost. If you prefer a specific carrier, say so in your booking notes.

These are post-dispatch estimates, not a guarantee. Customs clearance, national holidays, and carrier capacity can add 1–5 days.
3. Cost
- Shipping cost depends on the package's weight, dimensions, carrier, and destination. We don't add a markup — you pay the carrier's posted rate, billed to your Selectido wallet at checkout.
- Your shopper will quote the shipping cost to you during the live session once the items are boxed. You approve the quote before we ship.
- Small-parcel baseline: a 2 lb package to Central America is roughly US$22–40 economy or US$55–85 express. Larger or heavier shipments scale up.
4. Customs, duties, and import taxes
- Most destinations allow personal-use imports below a certain value threshold without duties (e.g., US$200 in some Central American countries for registered air freight). Above the threshold, your destination country's customs will assess duties and VAT.
- Customs, duties, and import taxes are the customer's responsibility. Selectido does not collect these at checkout.
- Our shippers declare the correct item values on customs forms. Asking us to mark items as "gifts," under-declare values, or label commercial goods as samples is against the law in most countries and we will not do it.
- If your shipment is held at customs pending a declaration dispute, we'll supply the original invoice and help you respond. We can't force a customs release.
5. Addresses we ship to
- Residential addresses with a named recipient.
- Business addresses during business hours.
- Freight-forwarding addresses (MyUS, Aeropost, Liberty Express, etc.) if you already have a forwarder account. Just enter that US-side address and we treat it like any other destination.
- PO Boxes are accepted for USPS only; UPS/FedEx/DHL require a physical street address.
Double-check the address you save in your profile. Shipments to mistyped addresses are not automatically refunded (see Refund Policy, section 3).
6. Tracking
Once a shipment leaves the US, you'll receive a carrier tracking number in your order details, by email, and as an in-app notification. Most carriers update tracking every time the package is scanned — typically once per day.
7. Restricted and prohibited items
Some items can't cross borders, or can only cross with special paperwork:
- Perishables (fresh food, plants, some cosmetics) — usually no.
- Batteries — lithium-ion devices ship only by air carriers that support them; not all destinations are eligible.
- Pharmaceuticals — prescription and over-the-counter, almost never.
- Alcohol, tobacco, vapes — restricted; country-specific rules apply. Ask before booking.
- Firearms, ammunition, weapons — no, full stop.
- High-value items above US$2,500 require additional insurance and are ineligible for economy shipping.
