Tired of carrier roulette?
Selectido routes through all 5 carriers. We pick the best for your destination. Hand-inspected, customs-papered, and tracked end-to-end via AfterShip — one page, every status.
How carrier auto-detection works
Each carrier uses a distinct tracking number format. We pattern-match the format to identify the carrier:
USPS
22 digits, often starts 92 or 94. Or 13-character format like EC123456789US.
UPS
Starts with 1Z followed by 6 letters/digits, then 10 digits. Total 18 characters.
FedEx
12 or 15 digits. Often 12-digit format for domestic, 22-digit for international.
DHL
10 digits typically, or starts with JJD, 1Z, or GM.
Aramex
11–14 digits, often starts with country code (97 for KSA, 33 for UAE).
What if my package is held in customs?
If tracking shows "Held by customs" or "Inbound — held for assessment," the carrier is waiting on duty payment, additional paperwork, or a value re-classification. Each carrier has a different recovery process:
- USPS: Contact your destination's local postal service — USPS hands off to them at the border.
- UPS / FedEx / DHL: They email a payment link or call you to clear duties. Pay it and the package releases within 24-72h.
- Aramex: They usually call directly to the recipient — answer the call to avoid delays.
If your package was shipped via Selectido, our team handles customs follow-ups for you. Message us via WhatsApp and we'll work the carrier.
Lost or damaged package?
All 5 carriers carry shipping insurance up to a declared-value cap (varies by service tier). Selectido files insurance claims on your behalf if anything goes wrong — you don't pay twice for lost packages.
