What you pay

Every Selectido booking has three components, all visible on the booking screen before you confirm:

Booking fee at a glance

The booking fee is hourly and shown in your local currency on the booking screen. There is no surge pricing and no peak-hour multiplier — the rate is the same whether you book on a Tuesday morning or Saturday night.

Tipping

After your session, the app prompts you to rate the call (1–5 stars) and add an optional tip — $0, $5, $10, $15, $20, or a custom amount. Tips go 100% to the specialist. Selectido does not take a cut.

Tipping is entirely optional and a session is never delayed or affected by it. Most customers tip when their specialist went the extra mile — drove to a second store, stayed late, or hunted down a hard-to-find item.

Shipping costs

Shipping is calculated based on package weight, destination country, and carrier. You can choose USPS (cheapest, slower), UPS or FedEx (mid-range, faster), or DHL (premium, fastest, most international coverage).

Match guarantee — what happens if we cannot match you

If we cannot match your booking with a specialist within 30 minutes (for sessions less than 4 hours from now) or by 30 minutes before your scheduled start (for advance bookings), your booking fee is automatically refunded in full. No support ticket needed. See refund policy for details.

Wallet model — why we use it

Selectido uses a wallet you top up via Stripe before each booking. This keeps the live shopping flow fast — when your specialist builds the cart at the register and you approve it, the wallet sweeps the total in one action. No card prompts during the call, no failed-payment delays, no awkward pauses while waiting for a 3D Secure SMS to arrive.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a subscription or membership fee?
No. You only pay per session. No monthly fee. No annual fee. No minimum spend.
Do you mark up retail prices?
No. Items ring up at the register price you would pay if you walked into the store yourself. Sales, coupons, and member prices all apply.
Are sales tax and customs duties included?
Sales tax is included in the receipt total (it's whatever the register charges). Customs duties on international shipments are the customer's responsibility — different countries have different thresholds and rates.
Can I get a refund if I do not like an item after it arrives?
Items you approved on the live call are non-returnable through Selectido itself, since the value of the live video service is being able to inspect items before purchase. If a store-level return policy applies, that is between you and the retailer. Full refund policy here.
Do you offer volume or repeat-customer discounts?
Yes — our tier ladder (Bronze / Silver / Gold / Platinum) is based on lifetime wallet outflow. Higher tiers get reduced booking fees, priority specialist matching, and other perks.
Cuánto cuesta usar Selectido?
