Why parents source from the US (4 reasons)
- Pediatrician brand-specificity. Your doctor recommended Enfamil Gentlease, not the locally-imported "similar" formula. Different formulations behave differently for sensitive babies — switching isn't always safe.
- Local distributor markups. By the time a US formula travels through importer → distributor → wholesaler → retailer in your country, you're paying 2–3× the US shelf price. US retail + Selectido + shipping + duty is still often cheaper.
- Stockouts and substitutions. Local supply can be unpredictable. A formula your baby is established on can vanish for weeks, forcing a switch your baby's gut isn't ready for.

We don't give pediatric advice. We shop the formula your doctor prescribed. We don't recommend brands, dosages, transitions, or substitutions. If your baby's pediatrician approves a switch, we shop the new SKU.
We don't ship recalled lots. When a US formula brand issues a recall, we cross-check lot numbers before every order. If we'd be shipping a recalled lot, we hold it and call you.
We don't under-declare customs. Infant formula is a flagged category in many countries — under-declaring risks confiscation or worse. We declare accurately and tell you the expected duty at booking.
We're not a substitute for emergency. If you're out of formula tonight and the baby needs to eat tomorrow, find a local option first. Express international shipping is fast but not instant.

Is it safe to ship formula internationally?
Yes — formula is shelf-stable when unopened and ships safely via standard carriers. We use temperature-buffered packaging in summer, recommend DHL/FedEx express, verify lot numbers and best-by dates, and never ship opened or expired cans.
Is it legal to import US formula into my country?
Personal-use rules vary by country. Most allow 1–6 month supply per shipment for personal use. We have country-specific notes for major destinations (Mexico, Saudi Arabia, UAE, India, Brazil, Philippines) and we'll tell you the rules before you order. We never tell you to under-declare.
Why is US formula often cheaper than local?
Local distribution markups (2–3× US shelf price), different SKUs under the same brand, and heavy category taxes in some countries. US retail + Selectido + shipping + duty is frequently still cheaper than your local import shelf.
What about stockouts or recalls?
We monitor stock across multiple US retailers and flag risk in advance. If your brand is recalled, we don't ship the recalled lot — we hold, call, and offer alternatives that match the formulation closely. No speculation buying ahead of recalls.
Can I set up monthly auto-ship?
Yes — same formula, same quantity, same date, billed automatically. We text the day before each shipment so you can adjust if your baby moved to the next stage or you've stocked up locally. Pause, change, or cancel any time.
How fast in an emergency?
