Why this is the hardest service to find

How the pickup actually works

  1. Send us the listing — paste the full Facebook Marketplace URL. We confirm in 30 minutes the listing is reachable, current, and matches photos.
  2. Set your budget — your max price in USD, including any negotiation room. We message the seller in your name.
  3. We schedule the pickup — coordinate with the seller, confirm address, time, and pickup vehicle. You approve the appointment before we drive.
  4. Live video inspection — shopper arrives, opens video call with you, walks around the item: serial numbers, scratches, function tests, original packaging. You confirm before we pay.
  5. Payment and pickup — Selectido carries the cash, Zelle, or Venmo equivalent. We pay only after your approval. Item goes in our vehicle.
  6. Ship to you — items return to our warehouse, get packed properly for international transit, and ship via DHL Express or FedEx with full insurance. Door-to-door including customs clearance.

If a pickup walks away — item misrepresented, seller no-show, fake listing — you owe only a $9.99 dispatch fee for the shopper's time and gas. The full pickup fee is refunded.
Reality check on scams. Marketplace is the highest-scam-rate platform we handle. About 12% of bookings end in walk-aways. Our shoppers have walked away from listings where the item is broken, missing parts, a different model than photographed, or the seller demanded cash before letting us see the item. We will not pay for anything we cannot verify in person.

Can Selectido really pick up Facebook Marketplace items in person?
Yes — this is the entire service. Our US shoppers are full-time, drive personal vehicles, and pick up Marketplace items 5-20 times per week for our international customers. We are the only forwarding service we know of that does this at scale.
How do I know I won't get scammed?
Three layers of protection. First, you authorize spending only after live video inspection. Second, we walk away from anything that does not match the listing (~12% of bookings). Third, Selectido is your contracting party — if a seller scams us, you are refunded fully because we did not deliver. Your risk is capped at the $9.99 dispatch fee on a walk-away.
What if the item is too big to ship internationally?
We tell you before pickup. Sofas, washing machines, treadmills — anything over ~70 lb or with dimensions over 60 inches on the longest side — gets a custom DHL or FedEx Freight quote first. You approve the quote before we drive to pickup. If freight is uneconomical, we offer storage at our warehouse for 30 days while you decide.
Can I pay the seller through Selectido, or do they need cash?
Sellers receive cash, Zelle, or Venmo from our shopper directly. You pay Selectido in advance via Visa, Mastercard, Mada, Apple Pay, or any Stripe-supported card. We carry the equivalent in cash/Zelle/Venmo to the pickup. You never have to wire money to a stranger in the US.
How long from booking to international delivery?
Typical timeline: 24-48 hours to confirm with seller and complete pickup. 1-2 days to prep and pack at our warehouse. 4-9 business days DHL Express transit + customs. Total: 8-14 days from booking to your door.
Can I combine multiple Facebook Marketplace pickups?
Yes. Listings in the same metro area within ~30 miles of each other can be combined into one route ($30 per additional pickup after the first). Combined runs consolidate into one international shipment, which saves significantly on DHL costs versus shipping separately.
What about Facebook Marketplace's "Shipping" option?
A small percentage of Marketplace listings offer optional shipping (the seller mails the item). For those, use standard Selectido package forwarding — no in-person pickup needed. This hub page covers the local-pickup-only listings (the majority).
Do you handle Facebook Marketplace cars or motorcycles?
No. Vehicle exports require title work, DMV interaction, and shipping arrangements that are outside our service. Use a specialized auto export service like West Coast Shipping or AmeriFreight for vehicles.
