Carriers charge based on the greater of actual weight or dimensional weight. Dimensional weight = (Length × Width × Height) ÷ dimensional divisor (139 for most US-to-international shipments). Big light packages — pillows, jackets, lampshades — ship at dimensional weight, not actual.

- Under 4 lbs going anywhere? USPS Priority Mail International is almost always cheapest.
- Heavy package to Asia / MENA? DHL Express usually wins on speed-per-dollar.
