How a session runs
- Book a slot through the Selectido app or website.
- Pre-load your wallet with the budget you want the shopper to spend.
- Open the live video at your booked time. We use Daily.co — works in any modern browser.
- Walk the store together. Point at items, ask questions, compare options live.
- Approve checkout. You see the register total before payment.
- Hand-off to shipping. Items return to our Minneapolis hub, get photographed and inspected, and ship to you.
Frequently asked questions
Is this really live video, not a recording?
Yes. The session is live on Daily.co. The shopper is physically in the store with their phone, and you direct the session in real time.
Does Selectido add a markup to the item price?
No. You pay the store's actual register price. The $75 covers the shopper's time, the live video infrastructure, and our overhead.
What if I want to extend the session?
You can. Sessions are billed in $75/hr increments. Bookings of 2+ hours get 15% off.
What if the item I want is out of stock?
The shopper will show you alternatives on video. If nothing fits, you can pivot the session to a different store mid-call.
How long until items arrive in my country?
From session end: 1–3 business days for shopper return + intake, then 3–10 business days carrier shipping depending on destination.
