Estimated landed cost

How this calculator works
For each country we apply the published VAT/IVA rate plus a typical customs duty rate for the product category you selected. Most countries use a courier expedited regime (DHL/FedEx/UPS) that bundles customs clearance and applies duties to the declared CIF value (cost + insurance + freight). We add a representative DHL Express courier estimate based on package weight and the destination zone, and then the Selectido service fee ($14.99 forwarding or your video session rate).
This is a planning estimate — actual duty depends on HS code, broker charges, and per-country thresholds. Selectido confirms exact landed cost in writing before any shipment leaves the US.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is this estimate?
For most countries the estimate is within ±10% of actual landed cost. Brazil and Argentina can vary more because state-level taxes (ICMS, IIBB) and intermittent regime changes affect totals. We update the calculator's rate table quarterly.
Do I always pay customs?
Most countries have a de minimis threshold (USD $50–$200) below which personal-use shipments clear without duty. The calculator factors this in for each country. The Mexico USMCA personal-use exemption (under USD $50) means Mexico shows zero duty for sub-$50 orders, for example.
Why is Brazil so expensive?
Brazil applies a flat 60% Imposto de Importação on most personal-use imports above USD $50, plus state-level ICMS (17–25%) that stacks. Total landed cost is often 80–100% above US retail. Selectido handles paperwork via the Remessa Internacional regime.
Stop guessing on customs.
Selectido shoppers buy from inside US stores on a video call with you, ship via DHL or FedEx with accurate customs paperwork, and confirm exact landed cost before charging your card. No surprise fees on delivery.
