McIlhenny keeps specialty production limited and prioritizes the US market. International distribution focuses on Original Red because that's what 95% of global retail demand looks like. Scorpion, Habanero, and the Reserve editions are a US specialty SKU that international grocers rarely stock.
Can you ship Tabasco Family Reserve internationally?
Yes — Family Reserve and the rare Diamond Reserve are some of our highest-priority pickup items. We source them from Whole Foods, Total Wine, or directly from the Avery Island Country Store in Louisiana when you book a live shopper trip.
Will the glass Tabasco bottles break in transit?
Our breakage rate is under 0.5%. Each bottle gets double bubble wrap, a leak-proof zip pouch, and rigid box packing. If a bottle does break, we replace it free.
Are there customs issues shipping Tabasco abroad?
Almost none. Tabasco is shelf-stable, sealed, and ingredient-labeled. Most countries accept it as personal-use food. A few Middle Eastern countries prefer Arabic ingredient labels for commercial imports, but personal-quantity shipments pass through.

We don't have a direct partnership with McIlhenny, but for live-shopper bookings we'll route through the Avery Island Country Store, which has the most complete inventory anywhere — including limited Reserve editions.

Yes — 33,000+ Scoville Units. For reference, Original Red is 2,500 SHU. Scorpion is on the edge of what most people consider edible. Handle with respect.
