If you live outside the US and want a complete picture of which American snacks aren't available where you are, this is the guide. Some are US-exclusive (never sold anywhere else). Some have international versions but those are made with different recipes. Some are at Costco, Trader Joe's, or specialty US stores that don't ship internationally at all. Sorted by category below.
Chips + savory snacks
Flamin' Hot Cheetos US-only variants
Limón, XXTRA Flamin' Hot, Crunchy Flamin' Hot Cheese, Mac 'n Cheese Flamin' Hot, Flamin' Hot Asteroids, Flamin' Hot Puffs. These don't ship to UK, EU retail (Red 40 / BHT restrictions), or most of Asia. The "Flamin' Hot Cheetos" sold internationally is just the original Crunchy Flamin' Hot — not the full lineup.
Takis US-only variants
Blue Heat, Stealth, Hot Nuts, Crunchy Fajita, Flare. Mexico (where Takis originates) doesn't carry these specific US-only flavors.
Doritos US-only
Sweet Spicy Chili, Tapatío, Roulette, Spicy Sweet Chili. Most countries have only Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch.
Cheez-It
Cheez-It is effectively US-only at retail. UK has a similar item (Cheddars) but with a different formula. Korea, Japan, UAE, Brazil, Philippines all don't reliably stock Cheez-It.
Goldfish
Pepperidge Farm Goldfish are US-domestic. Cheddar, pretzel, flavor-blasted varieties don't ship outside North America at retail.
Candy
Reese's US-exclusive variants
Big Cup Stuffed (with Pieces, Crunchy, Caramel, Pretzel filling), Reese's Crunchy, Sticks, Cookies, Hidden Stuffed, seasonal (Pumpkins, Hearts, Eggs, Trees). International Reese's distribution is typically just the original Cup and Pieces.
Sour Patch Kids variety
Watermelon, Berries, Tropical, Soda Pop, Wicked (extra sour). Most countries get only Original.
Hot Tamales
The classic spicy cinnamon candy. US-domestic.
Nerds Gummy Clusters
TikTok-viral. Made in the US, distributed sporadically internationally.

M&Ms US-only variants
Peanut Butter, Caramel, Crunchy Cookie, Mint, Almond, Pretzel, Mega, Carrot Cake, Birthday Cake. International M&Ms is usually Plain and Peanut only.

Costco Kirkland Signature
Kirkland-branded items (trail mix, almond clusters, organic snacks) are Costco-exclusive. International Costco locations don't always carry the same items.

Garrett Popcorn
Chicago cult brand. Has international locations (Tokyo, Singapore, Dubai) but US-Chicago store stock has subtle flavor differences aficionados specifically want.
