Is there a subscription fee?
No. Selectido has no monthly subscription, no setup fee, and no membership tier. You only pay when you actually use the service: $14.99 per outbound forwarded shipment (plus the carrier cost), or $75/hr for live video shopping with 15% off bookings of 2+ hours. Holding a free US address and consolidating packages for 60 days costs $0.
Do you mark up retail prices?
No. You pay the store's actual retail price. We show the receipt for every item and pass through the exact carrier cost for shipping. The only Selectido fees are the $14.99 forwarding fee per outbound shipment and the $75/hr live shopping rate. No item markup, no shipping markup, no hidden surcharges.
What about sales tax and customs?
Sales tax at the US store is set by the state where we purchase — Minnesota is our default hub. Customs and import taxes on delivery to your country are set by your government, not Selectido. The carrier (UPS, DHL, FedEx, USPS) collects whatever applies on your doorstep. Most countries have a duty-free threshold for low-value orders; see selectido.com/destinations for the threshold in your country.
Can I get a refund if I don't like an item?
If the retailer accepts returns, we can ship it back to the store for a refund to your original card. You pay the return-shipping cost and the $14.99 forwarding fee. Final-sale items, grocery, and opened cosmetics typically can't be returned. For damaged or lost packages, see the dedicated FAQ below — most carrier insurance covers replacement or refund.
How does the bundle perk work?
If you receive multiple US orders inside any 60-day window, we consolidate them into one outbound shipment for free. You only pay one $14.99 forwarding fee and one carrier cost for the combined box. Most international customers save 40–60% versus shipping each box individually. Consolidation is automatic — no need to ask.
When do you charge me?
Forwarding: when the outbound shipment leaves our Minneapolis hub. You see a single charge for $14.99 plus the chosen carrier's cost. Live shopping: the session fee is held on your card at booking and finalized at the end of the call; the items purchased are charged as a separate line when your shopper checks out. Card never stored on our servers — Stripe handles everything.
Can I tip my shopper?
Yes. After your live shopping session you'll see a tip prompt: 15%, 20%, 25%, or custom amount. 100% of the tip goes directly to your shopper — Selectido takes zero platform cut on tips. You can also leave a written review that other customers will see when booking.
What if my package is damaged or lost?
All shipments include tracking, and UPS, DHL, and FedEx come with carrier insurance up to the declared value. If your tracking goes silent for more than 5 business days past the estimated delivery, reply to your shipping email and we'll open a trace. Confirmed-lost packages are refunded or reshipped — your call. For damaged items: photograph the package and contents within 48 hours of delivery and email us; carrier insurance covers most claims.
