Why a US forwarding address matters
Most US retailers don't ship internationally. The ones that do often charge punishing rates ($60+ for a small package), restrict the catalog, or quietly exclude entire categories. So international shoppers face two bad options:
- Pay the retailer's inflated international shipping rate, if they even allow it.
- Skip the purchase entirely and try to find the same item locally — usually marked up 2–3× or unavailable.
A US forwarding address fixes this. You get a domestic-looking US address. You order from any US store like a US customer would. We receive your package and forward it to you at carrier rates, with a small service fee.

Top up your Selectido wallet to cover service fee + carrier shipping. We prepare the customs paperwork, ship via USPS / UPS / FedEx / DHL, and send tracking.

Customs paperwork done right
Most package-forwarder horror stories trace back to bad customs paperwork. Under-declared values cause holds and penalties. Wrong HS codes get items flagged or destroyed. Inconsistent invoices trip duty assessments. We handle all of this on your behalf.
- Accurate declarations. We declare what's actually in the box, at the value you actually paid (the retailer invoice). No "the customer asked us to mark it as a gift worth $20" requests — that's how packages get seized.
- Proper HS codes. Common categories (apparel, electronics, cosmetics, toys, supplements) get the correct international Harmonized System code so duties calculate correctly the first time.
- Itemized invoices. Each item gets its own line on the customs paperwork — required by Brazil, Argentina, India, and several EU countries.
- Restricted-item flagging. If a package contains lithium batteries, alcohol, aerosols, or perishables, we contact you with options before shipping. We don't gamble with your package.
Why we hand-check every package
If you've used a big-box forwarder before, you know the experience: you authorize a $300 international shipment based on weight and dimensions, then the package arrives with the wrong item, or damaged, or missing pieces, and the carrier insurance is a 6-week claim process.
Selectido doesn't accept that as the cost of doing business. We physically open (with your permission), inspect, and photograph each package at intake. The photos appear in your Orders tab before you pay for the international leg. If something looks wrong, you can tell us to refuse the shipment, hold it for a return, or document it for a retailer dispute — before paying for international shipping you'd waste on a damaged item.
This is slower than a fully automated warehouse. We think it's worth it.

Items restricted by the carrier (lithium batteries above thresholds, aerosols, alcohol, hazardous materials, perishables, tobacco) and items prohibited by your destination country's import rules. We notify you if a package contains a restricted item and offer options before shipping.

Most international destinations: 5–12 business days via USPS Priority International or DHL Express. Latin America and Caribbean: 4–8 days. Europe: 5–10 days. Middle East and Asia: 6–14 days. Tracking via AfterShip is automatic — push updates land in your Orders tab.
We document it with photos and contact you with options: file a claim with the US retailer (if the damage is from the inbound carrier or the seller), refuse the package and have it returned, or proceed with shipping after acknowledging the condition. We don't ship visibly damaged packages without your explicit go-ahead.
