Most US mail forwarding services are really just package forwarders with a forwarding address — they accept boxes from retailers, but letters get returned or thrown out. We're different. Your Selectido address is a real US street address that accepts:

Will US banks and government offices actually accept this address?
Our hub address is a real street address in Minneapolis, Minnesota — not a PO Box, not a UPS Store mailbox. It's accepted by:
- Most major US banks for statements, debit cards, and check delivery (Wells Fargo, Chase, Bank of America, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, and others — confirm with your bank's specific policy).
- The IRS as a US mailing address on file for individual and business filers.
- Most US state governments for vehicle registrations, voter mail, and tax notices.
- All US retailers and e-commerce sites — they treat it like any US shipping address.
- Most US universities, alumni offices, and professional certification bodies.
- US-incorporated LLCs and corporations as a mailing-address-of-record (not a registered agent address).
The exceptions: a few federal agencies (USCIS for certain immigration forms, some state-specific licensing boards) require a residential US address rather than a mail-receiving address. Scanning mail vs. forwarding mail — which is right for you?
Letters have two natural workflows depending on what's inside:
- Forward physically — for documents you need the original of: signed contracts, certified mail, IRS notices, bank cards, university transcripts. We mail the envelope to you internationally on your authorization.
- Scan to email — for letters where you only need the contents: routine statements, marketing mail, sender confirmation. We open, scan, and email — no international shipping cost.
Most Selectido customers do a mix. Occasional scan-and-email requests are included in the $14.99 service fee at no extra charge. Heavy scan workloads (more than 5–10 letters scanned per month) get a custom quote.
How fast does forwarded US mail arrive?
Once you authorize a shipment, we send within 1 business day. International transit times depend on carrier and destination:
- Latin America and Caribbean: 4–8 business days (USPS Priority International or DHL Express)
- Europe: 5–10 business days
- Middle East: 5–10 business days
- Asia: 6–14 business days
- Africa and remote destinations: 7–18 business days

A service that gives you a real US street address where letters, documents, and packages can be sent. The service receives mail at a US hub, then forwards it internationally. This is different from USPS Change of Address, which is a domestic US service for people moving within the United States. Selectido is a commercial mail forwarding service for people outside the US (or US travelers abroad) who need a stable US mailing address they control.
USPS Change of Address is for people who have moved within the US — it tells USPS to redirect first-class mail from your old US address to your new US address for up to 12 months. It does not forward mail outside the US, it does not handle packages from other carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL), and it does not give you a new US address you can use as your own. The first 30 days are free. After 30 days, $2/day storage may apply. We email you before any storage fees start. Items with no instructions after 90 days may be considered abandoned.
Yes. You sign up online from anywhere in the world. Inside your Selectido account, your Orders tab displays your unique Suite ID and the full Minneapolis mailing address. You can start giving the address to US senders within minutes of signing up — you never have to set foot in the US.
For most customers, yes. We don't charge a monthly subscription (MyUS is around $10/month for full features; Aramex is $45–65/year by country). We don't take 5% of declared value the way Shipito does on inbound packages. Photos and hand-inspection are included. For a customer forwarding 1–4 shipments a year, Selectido is typically half the cost or less by year's end.
Items restricted by international carriers (lithium batteries above thresholds, aerosols, alcohol, perishables, tobacco, hazardous materials) and items prohibited by your destination country's import rules. We notify you before shipping if a package contains a restricted item and offer options.
